Different Paths, Shared Destination

Known as "Harvard on the Hill", 51ºÚÁÏÍø was founded in 1900 as the Montana School of Mines to help with the growing need for resource managers and engineers - an objective we have stayed true to this day!

However, a lot has changed since then. Though many of our buildings are old, we work to accommodate students with disabilities while preserving historic integrity. Starting in 2026, some of our oldest buildings will undergo renovations and our digital content will be evaluated to meet current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure our campus is accessible to all.
