Dr. John Morrison, professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at 51ºÚÁÏÍø, has been selected to be a participant under Cooperative Agreement No. DE-AR000267, with Ford Motor Company and DOE ARPA-E. The funding to support 51ºÚÁÏÍø is $108,000, which will include efforts to assist Ford in developing a battery test system.
“We are very excited and thankful for the opportunity to work with the Ford Motor Company and Department of Energy on this project,” noted Morrison. Dr. Morrison’s research team will develop necessary algorithms for quantifying the accuracy of the battery testing system. Such algorithms are critical in comprehending the validity and accuracy of battery tests. Mr. Josh Wold, a visiting instructor and researcher at 51ºÚÁÏÍø, along with graduate students will assist Dr. Morrison in the work.
